So Sunday night was the Fall finale season two of Lost Girl – not to be confused with the actual season two finale, which is still to come. Like I’ve said before, I have no idea what the deal is behind the whole mid-season finale thing – it’s some network programming thing or other and I just want to know when and where I can find the shows I like to watch. Basically, we’re half-way through season two and the show continues its run with the next new episode on January 22. Perhaps in the meantime, we’ll be treated to some re-runs of the season thus far – or an “encore presentation” as the t.v. racket likes to call it. And, yes, I’ve been reading a lot of John Doyle’s column lately.
Not too much with the spoilers on this one – you really need to be caught up for it to make any sense anyway. We learn lots in this episode “Barometz. Trick. Pressure.” – about Trick’s back story, about the Ash (and what is up with the head in a box) and about the big nasty that’s on its way to Faetown. Some unexpected alliances appear to be forming in this episode, and we have a bit of a cliff-hanger ending – to which all I’ll say is: “Medic!” But, alas, the lovely doctor and her newly awakened girlfriend have gone on a road trip of some kind – in Bo’s car – presumably to add to the drama of a medical emergency with no Doctor Lauren about to fix it. All I can say to that is I hope the back-up Fae docs are up to snuff. And Kenzi is planning a road trip of her own – with her new hunky musician boyfriend.
Anna Silk just keeps getting better and better in this series. Good on ya, Anna!
Come on, just watch it. You know you wanna: http://www.showcase.ca/lostgirl/
