The strength of women on t.v. & on stage

Bomb Girls aired its third episode last night – now at the half-way point of the six-episode mini-series format – and love is in the air (though not necessarily between whom you’d expect). SPOILERS:  Lorna has developed a taste for Italian home cooking – and Marco – at Marco’s house. While working in the warehouse, Kate has found a singing soul mate in Leon (and, last episode, clearly has an admirer in Betty). Gladys finds Hazel makes for a three’s a crowd situation with her fiance James. And Vera has found a friend in Archie as they both convalesce at the hospital. Great ending, with all the girls – including Gladys – dancing at the boarding house. Catch up on Bomb Girls at: http://www.globaltv.com/bombgirls/index.html

Tomorrow night, Trojan Women opens on the main stage at Alumnae Theatre. Check their website for details, reservations and some gorgeous production pix (by Dahlia Katz http://www.dahliakatz.com) at the Alumnae website’s Trojan Women page: http://www.alumnaetheatre.com/1112trojan.html

I’m Cate (she/her)

A woman with short brown hair greying at the temples, wearing t-shirt and a navy pinstripe blazer, gazes up to her right with a glint in her eye.
