Alumnae Theatre Company’s New Ideas Festival 2012 continues this week with the Week Two program opening tonight (and continuing until this Sunday, with Week Three opening on Wed, Mar 28). Check out the details on this week’s short theatrical mayhem here: http://www.alumnaetheatre.com/ideas2012-2.html

I’ll be stopping by to catch this set of plays on Friday; I’ll be missing the Saturday reading, however, due to a prior commitment.

Once again, reservations strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. I believe Week One was pretty much sold out. Seating is general admission, so get there early to get your choice of seat.

In the meantime, I was back at Alumnae on Monday night, on the main stage painting the set for their April production of Così, along with set designer Ed Rosing, master carpenter Lionel Boodlal and Lionel’s friend Doug. Ed and I will be back on Sunday to do the last of the painting. As usual, I’m always suspicious about a set being done (until the burnt umber goes on, that is), so I’ll be standing by for any further work. This promises to be a big fun wacky show – more details on Così soon.

Indeed – as confirmed with one of the Festival producers last night, every performance (including the new-this-year Sunday matinee) in Week One was sold out. So reservations (and arriving more than 15 minutes prior to showtime) are strongly recommended!
