StageWorks Toronto goes Into the Woods

Hey kids – with all the SummerWorks and outdoor theatre going on, I’m very pleased to say there’s more short run summer theatre happening: StageWorks Toronto’s production of Into the Woods (music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by James Lapine) directed by Lorraine Green-Kimsa, with music direction by Tara Litvak – and featuring my pal, actor about town Stephen Flett, who just finished a show in the Toronto Fringe Festival. Check out their teaser:

Into the Woods has a very short run: five performances running from August 18 – 21 at the Annex Theatre – and, apparently, opening night is 90% sold! Check out the StageWorks website for info/tix: http://stageworkstoronto.com/

While I contact Steve to arrange for tix for Into the Woods, I’ll be going to see more of SummerWorks tonight, then I’m off to Driftwood Theatre’s production of Macbeth tomorrow night at Withrow Park (and looks like the weather will co-operate for the outdoor performance).

Hi Pat. I don’t know Lorraine personally, but I’ll forward your info to my friend Steve Flett, who was in Into the Woods.
