Trojan Women coming to Alumnae Theatre

Hey all –

Before I take off for more Next Stage festivities, I wanted to mention that Alumnae Theatre’s next production, Trojan Women, opens next Friday, January 20 in the Studio and runs until Saturday, February 4 – with a talkback following the matinée on Sunday, January 29.

Trojan Women (by Euripides, adapted by Gwendolyn MacEwan) is directed for Alum by Alexandra Seay, and features actors Sochi Fried (sharing the role of Cassandra with Suzette McCanny, who takes over the role Jan 28-Feb 4), Andrew P. MacMaster, Scott Moore, Nicole St. Martin, Molly Thom and Tara Zacharias, with a chorus of women: Andrea Blakey, Stephanie Carpanini, Carys Lewis (Jan 28-Feb 4), Suzette McCanny (Jan 20-27), Katie Ribout, Anne Shepherd and Susan Q. Wilson.

For details and reservations, check out the Alumnae website: http://www.alumnaetheatre.com/1112trojan.html

In the meantime, I’m off to see LoveSexMoney at Next Stage tonight. And check out this review of Modern Love from NOW Magazine: http://www.nowtoronto.com/stage/story.cfm?content=184648

BTW – looks like my pal Kat Leonard won’t be playing the Next Stage beer tent tonight/tomorrow; she’s off sick with a nasty case of strep throat. Get better soon, Kat!

DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS: Apparently, folks in the UK saw the premiere of season two of Lost Girl on Syfy UK last night.
