Taking a brief break away from Toronto Fringe to give a shout out to the upcoming Shinsedai Cinema Festival of up-and-coming indie Japanese filmmakers and their work, which opens tomorrow (July 12) and runs until July 15 at the Revue Cinema (400 Roncesvalles Ave., Toronto).
I’ll be heading over on Saturday afternoon to see Naked Summer with my pal Julie Florio – and pay a visit to our friend Polly Esther, who’s helping her man Chris MaGee (co-programmer/co-director, along with Jasper Sharp) with the festival.
The fest runs July 12-15, so you best get on it. Check out the details and full line-up here: http://shinsedai.ca/
Up tonight: Ways to Kill Ethyl at the Factory Theatre Mainspace.
