Lisa MacIntosh ASK exhibit: beautiful photos of 15 remarkable women

LMP_AskPoster2014Photographer Lisa MacIntosh opened her ASK exhibit of photographs at 3030 Dundas West last night – to great success and lots of fun!

MacIntosh uses natural lighting, indoors or outdoors, photographing her subjects in spaces that are special to them to create her stunning black and white images of 15 strong, go-to, positive-force women.

Some of the expressions are dreamy, some pensive, some whimsical. All are beautiful. Whether the subject is looking directly at the camera, somewhere off in the distance, or at a beloved animal friend or object, MacIntosh’s photographs capture the essence and energy of these remarkable women.

The atmosphere of excitement, love and support was palpable as friends, family, colleagues and a handful of the women featured in the exhibit filled the space. Old friends and new friends ate, drank, chatted – and excused themselves as they leaned across tables to see the framed images that lined the wall behind the bench seating. All good – everyone was there to support the artist and the women she photographed. Loved the vibe in that space at 3030 – will definitely be going back.

All images are $400, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Ronald McDonald House, an organization near and dear to MacIntosh’s great big heart.
